About Loosen Bros. USA

Kirk is a lifelong Riesling fanatic who was born and raised in Oregon. After meeting Erni Loosen, in the mid-1990s, he soon began creating marketing materials and handling media relations for the Dr. Loosen estate. In 2003, he helped establish Loosen Bros. USA, which is why the company is based in Oregon. He also introduced Erni to many Oregon wines and winemakers, which led to the collaboration with J. Christopher Wines and the development of Appassionata Estate. Also a devoted lover of Pinot Noir, Kirk is a 25-year member of the secretive special forces unit known as the Wine Room Crew of the International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC). He was also involved in establishing the Eroica Riesling collaboration, Erni’s joint venture with Chateau Ste. Michelle in Washington state. Kirk is based at our company headquarters in Oregon City.

With us since 2018, Jeff is another experienced professional who has been involved in all aspects of operations of wine import companies for over 20 years. He leads our Customer Service team and is always working towards improving our delivery of key service outcomes for our distributors and winery partners. Jeff also oversees all aspects of our supply chain process including demand planning and ordering, tracking all reservations and allocations, and managing the relationships with our logistics providers and winery partners. Jeff keeps our team organized and efficient all while making everyone feel like family. Jeff is based in San Diego, California.

Molly’s wine journey started with an absolutely brilliant bottle of Sutter Home White Zinfandel and as soon as she perfected pulling that first cork, she never looked back. After college, Molly opened and operated a group of restaurants in Ohio before her passion for fine wine led to a position with a local distributor and a deeper appreciation for German wine. From there, Molly worked as a regional and then national sales manager for another importer before she found her way to Loosen Bros. USA. Outside of work and family, she is obsessed with digging around in old cemeteries, captivated by genealogy, and finds fulfillment helping rescue pit bull dogs. Molly is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kelly is a certified Sommelier through Johnson and Wales University, who came to us in 2016. She brings extensive experience to our team having worked in multiple channels of the wine business. She spent most of her career focused on the import side of the business. She is extremely hard-working and a key contributor to our social media team. Kelly is based in Florida.

Victoria grew up in Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region and has always had a passion for great wine. After working for a few years in the Oregon wine industry, she joined the Loosen Bros. team in late 2022 as our Compliance Manager. Victoria oversees our state level compliance for Loosen Bros. USA, as well as our Oregon winery, the Appassionata Estate. She has a background in international law and also works for the United Nations and as a law professor. Victoria serves on various nonprofit boards and government committees in Yamhill County, Oregon. She is based in McMinnville, Oregon.
